I went to diPaolo's for the first time tonight. I live at 85 and Shallowford, it only took me 10 minutes to get to "alpharetta" where it was, just right down Peachtree Industrial and a few lights down Holcomb Bridge. I only tried two dishes, but they apparently just started their fall menu. I had a lamb shank that was easily the best lamb i'd ever had. And a proscuitto and beets w/ goat cheese and a fig balsamic caprese salad. It was incredible as well. I highly recommend it. Make reservations.

Cajun/Creole Resturants in Atlanta

Hello,

I am going to be in Atlanta this weekend for a convention, and I want to take my friend who is flying in from Scotland out to a decent Cajun/Creole resturant in the Atlanta area. I have found a list of resturants here:
http://atlanta.citysearch.com/profile/2990364/atlanta_ga/cajun_cafe.html
Some of them have ratings, and some do not, and I was wondering what ya'll would recommend. We are looking for one reasonably priced >20 and fairly close to our hotel which is located at 1380 VIRGINIA AVE in Atlanta.

Thanks in advance for all your suggetions and Tips.

Hello Atlanta_Eats!

I'm from Arlington, MA (near Boston) and will possibly be traveling on business to ATL within the next few weeks. Going to have some coworkers with me. I try make it a point to visit a Portuguese restaurant in each place I've traveled to(I'm Portuguese). Since I've never been to Atlanta, I have no clue if there are any good authentic Portuguese restaurants in the area...Each one I've been too have been different and I've loved all of them...hopeing to find one in Atlanta as well...I've looked online, but since I'm an LJ member, I thought I'd post here and find out your opinions on the best place to go for authentic Portuguese food (more azorean than main land).

Looking forward to any suggestions you may have!

Thanks so much!

ludakiss and i were talking saturday while leaving Fellini's and thought that a Japanese Hibachi restaurant would be a fun excursion, as next round of "let's get things rolling."

I think that it's a great idea. It's interesting and exciting. so give me suggestions on Hibachi places you love/dying to check out (think something in a more central location).

just comment about them or give me your input.
